Regional Sales Manager, Adjuvant/Ag Chemicals – Pacific Northwest US

Major Responsibilities, Authorities, and Requirements: 

  • Ability to establish strong relationships with field personnel, peers, and customers 
  • Knowledge of agricultural production and industry trends to help identify agronomic solutions 
  • Develop, meet, and report on annual business (sales) plans that optimize growth and profitability for the territory 
  • Identify new key customers, understand their business, determine their needs, and develop plans and actions for sales territory growth 
  • Interact with Product Development team in the RD/CD group to identify needs for future products 
  • Serve as the point person to manage customer-centric support issues 
  • Responsible for sales territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysis 
  • Follow credit policies and manage risk for the company 
  • Implement marketing and sales plans 
  • Network with industry contacts to expand sales opportunities 
  • Build product and market knowledge to add understanding and credibility 
  • Seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance skill set and knowledge base 
  • Become primary contact between customers and KCPP including deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, custom application, etc. 
  • Present a professional image to our customers in all interactions 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner 
  • Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Strong computer skills, including the need to generate weekly and monthly reports
    • This includes the use of sales reporting software such as Salesforce.com, etc.
  • Ability to travel by any commercial means up to 50% 

Minimum education (records are required in support of this requirement): 

Bachelor’s degree or higher (from an accredited University) in Agriculture or Business-related field is preferred

Note: A non-qualified/non-degreed individual with a successful track record in the field of Ag Chem Sales/Service will also be considered. 

Minimum skills and experience (records are required in support of this requirement): 

  • Proven successful sales experience within the field of agricultural chemical sales 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture or Business-related field is preferred 
  • Three to five years’ experience in the Agricultural industry (preferred) 
  • CCA License and Pesticide Application License preferred 
  • Good interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with small and large groups (including video technology) 
  • Detailed and accurate 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time 
  • Physically able to endure outdoor climates of varying temperatures and weather 
  • Willingness and desire to embrace and promote technology products over commodity offerings 

Interfaces with: 

Domestic and global sales force, marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing functions; customers, suppliers, technical consultants, Agricultural Business Leaders
