Our client is the leading provider of solutions for the public health mosquito control market. The Regional Sales Manager will lead the Western Regional sales team to drive the profitable growth of the mosquito control business throughout the Western United States. Since this is such a narrow and small niche market, we are targeting candidates who have sold products ranging from chemicals, turf, and ornamental markets. Many of these types of candidates are accustomed to extensive travel.

As you would expect in a sales management role, you will spend a significant amount of your time developing and managing the regional sales strategy and engaging in activities that increase market share and the adoption of new products and offerings. You will provide leadership, direction, and counsel to your team to enable them to reach their sales goals. You can also expect to spend a fair amount of your time in the field visiting with key customers, riding along with sales team members, and attending and participating in regional customer and industry meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE 

▪ 3-5 years prior experience in a sales management/leadership role. 

▪ Experience in related industry (i.e., environmental products/services, ag-chem, turf, ornamentals, pharm, etc.) Experience selling to governmental customers is desired, but not mandatory.

▪ Demonstrated success in building and leading high performing teams. 

▪ History of business development accomplishments and initiative and ability to write and execute successful market-driven strategies and action plans. 

Candidate should reside in the region (Southern California preferred) and be able to work out of a home office (office set-up will be provided). Average overnight travel 50-60%

Salary in the $130k-$140k range with a Regional Sales Bonus program that has paid out in 3 of the last 4 years at an average of 46% of salary.  This in additional to another 10% of salary bonus potential for the Corporate Performance Bonus program.  Total comp projections very close to 200K.
