We are seeking a dynamic regional supplier/manufacturer sales representative in the PNW, with the ideal landing zone/home residence in the greater Columbia Basin. The company is a premier industry leader, and they are basic in crop protection, seed treatment, and specialty chemicals and more.
Our client offers a Product offering focused on the US specialty/vegetable market, and they aim to bring the highest quality, and most innovative solutions to growers for early-season pests and diseases. Their products are currently used on onions, leafy greens, brassicas, and cucurbits.
This position (Northern Sales Rep) will be focused on growing the business in the PNW specialty/ vegetable growing regions, with a specific focus on onions. The Northern Sales Rep will also have responsibility for covering other major growing areas in the northern half of the US.
Required minimum background and experience: these are the “must have’s”.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in plant science, path, entomology, or agronomy and an advanced degree highly desirable.
- 5+ years field experience in the CROP PROTECTION industry, and in wholesale/regional SALES.
- Stable career path and progression (not too many jobs!
- Familiar with the vegetable seed industry.
- Experience working with the following crop systems- onions a must, leafy greens, brassicas, cucurbits, fruiting vegetables and other specialty vegetable crops.
- Live in the greater Columbia basin, WA, or close.
- Able to travel up to 50% (fluctuates) and manage a multifaceted growing territory comprising a much larger N. US region.
- Broad contacts and relationships.
