Our client is a fast-growing high-tech scale-up developing innovative solutions for the agricultural sector. Operating in over 18 countries, they provide cutting-edge sensor technology, weather stations, and digital tools that help farmers and agribusinesses optimize their resources more efficiently. Based out of Amsterdam, they have built a dynamic international team passionate about transforming the agricultural industry through technology and are now looking to expand their presence in the US.

Job Description

As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in expanding their market presence in the US by reaching out directly to growers while also developing strategic partnerships with potential distributors. You will actively promote innovative solutions to growers, agronomists, and distributors, ensuring products gain strong traction in the different agricultural segments in the US.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Direct Sales Outreach to Growers:
    • Actively identify and engage with growers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses.
    • Conduct cold-calling, on-site visits, and product demonstrations.
    • Understand growers’ needs and challenges, positioning client’s technology as the ideal solution.
    • Provide support in implementation and after-sales service to maximize adoption.
  • Distributor & Partner Development:
    • Identify and establish relationships with potential distributors, resellers, and agribusiness partners.
    • Initiate partnership negotiations in line with the company’s growth strategy.
    • Conduct market research to understand the best distribution channels.
    • Represent company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Your Profile:

  • A true hunter: energetic, driven, and focused on results.
  • Confident in both direct sales to farmers and partnership discussions with distributors.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in a commercial role.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a fast-paced team.
  • Passion for and existing network in agriculture is highly preferred.
