Our client is a California-based growing supplier providing Tree Nut and Orchard growers with innovative pest control solutions.
Position Summary
Agriculture Sales Representatives act as the primary bridge connecting the organization with the growers they serve. Their role is essential, as they work closely with customers to understand their needs and recommend effective, high-quality products and services that support stronger performance, greater productivity, and improved returns. Their sales professionals are responsible for identifying and cultivating new opportunities for foliar, continuous fertigation, grower applied blends, and water treatment products. Their work helps drive the company’s growth and extends their reach into additional markets.
Candidates must live in, or be willing to relocate to, the designated sales territory. Fresno to Bakersfield, EAST of Hwy 43
Key Responsibilities
• Establish annual sales goals with management
• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, and research
• Build and maintain an effective sales pipeline
• Provide growers with customized and innovative solutions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, and coworkers
• Support sales strategies in underdeveloped markets and regions
• Attend and promote products at trade shows and conferences
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Uphold high ethical and professional standards in all interactions
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business, Business Management, or related field preferred
• Two to three years of ag sales experience in California is preferred
• Working knowledge of pest control is preferred (pca preferred, but not required)
Skills & Competencies
• Good written and verbal communication
• Organizational and prioritization skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to independently manage a territory
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
