US Sales Director, Crop Protection

The US Sales Director is responsible for overall national sales strategy and revenue targets and national KAM across 4 sales regions, as well as building & leading a high-performing sales team. Regular travel (easily at and sometimes exceeding 50%) is required for customer engagements, team leadership, dealer support, and industry events. Candidates must reside in the US. 

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute effective sales strategies and go-to-market initiatives to achieve sales and profit targets, including territory management, pricing models, go-to-market plans, and dealer-focused distribution channels, to achieve revenue targets 
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a national sales team so they are able to manage accounts to optimize market access – create and implement product / distributor programs that deliver results 
  • Establish and maintain regular contact with national key accounts and customers and key influencers to evaluate needs, obtain feedback, and increase company and portfolio awareness 
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for US sales operations, provide ongoing sales region and national level customer and item-level forecasts 

Professional Experience & Qualifications 

  • Record of successful progressive advancement in sales from rep to national director in the crop input or crop protection space, with emphasis on independent dealer and grower level, with minimum of 5 years at national level leadership
  • Demonstrated track record of sales and business development achievement in a hands-on environment 
  • Proven knowledge and network of distributors and end-users 
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership and strategic thinking  
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and partners 
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs and skilled at analyzing data to create and deliver presentations
  • Expertise in B2B sales cycles, negotiation, national account management, and CRM tools to drive expansion, and partnerships at retail and grower level. 
  • Experience capturing and integrating field feedback, dealer insights, and market data into product strategies and internal decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial forecasting, budgeting, performance metrics, and product management
